Pastel Dog Portrait

Monty's Portrait

Internet Madness
My computer has been driving me crazy all summer. Luckily it’s not a long trip.
I get my computer too the shop and wait. It finally comes home and nothing is better.
I call the phone company and wait. And wait. They send someone out. He works on the lines for three days. Five miles of new cable are run and a new modem. It works great for two days and then….
I’m back to 30 seconds of internet at a time (sigh).
Monty is a retriever from Great Britain that had recently passed away. His family misses him. I hope this portrait brings them comfort.

The Dog DNR

Storm Horse
SOLD

It's been a month now since Corky's accident. After she chased one of the horses and got kicked in the head. She died and was brought back with chest compressions. Her recovery has been amazing.
But she hasn't gotten any smarter or more obedient.

So Paula and I were standing at the fence and calling the horses in for dinner. They were over the hill and we couldn't see them. Tonka and Corky were out in the pasture. We heard the sound of hooves. The little white mare tops the hill at a gallop. I call the dogs. Tonka comes, but Corky turns to chase Dolly. We stand there horrified. Dolly gallops past her without incident and she turns back before the other four horses pass by.

I turn to Paula and say "if she gets kicked in the head again don't resuscitate her."

"You mean she has a DNR?"

"Yep that's right. I'll get her a little tag."

Message From Miami

Miami says, "Hurry, our spring sale ends today!"
Yes, my spokes horse is at it again. She must really want those new shoes.
The sale is at our Etsy shop Lancaster Art
Corky is continuing to improve daily after getting kicked in the head a week ago. I got Tonka neutered this week and he is now four and a half months old and forty pounds. After four trips to the vet in the last week and four portraits, whew, am I tired.
